It’s never too early to develop computational thinking skills, and it’s not difficult either with Cubetto from Primo Toys. Get your mini coders going with everything you need to teach programming to children as young as 3 with this starter kit from Cubetto.
Cubetto is the perfect size for little hands and is made from tactile and hard-wearing wood (Montessori approved, and LOGO Turtle inspired). Gender neutral and with the cutest kawaii smile, Cubetto is going to win the hearts of all your pupils and you too!
It’s quick and easy to get going with Cubetto and whilst you will be teaching 21st Century computing skills, there won’t be a screen in sight. Cubetto is joined by a coding board and blocks. Pupils simply put in the program they wish Cubetto to follow using the coding blocks on the board, press the ‘go’ button and watch him follow the program around the classroom. The coding blocks used to code are colour coded and include forward, left, right and function commands. These blocks make coding language something children can touch and manipulate; perfect for early years learners.
You can take Cubetto on adventures around the classroom, or you can use the Cubetto World Map that is included in the kit. Coding Cubetto around this map can help to develop directional language and the principles behind coordinates.
• Teach coding and logical thinking through hands-on play using tactile resources.
• Take pupils on an adventure with Cubetto using the user guide and storybook included, saving you valuable planning and resourcing time.
• Enjoy cross-curricular experiences with pupils using the Cubetto World Map Mat (included) to develop directional language and other geographical and mathematical skills.
